Welcome to the new Corio Bay Camera Club Web Site

Sep 5, 2008   //   by Chris   //   Web Site News  //  No Comments

I am setting up the new Corio Bay Camera Club web site up this weekend so you may see some strange activity on this domain over the weekend, but don’t panic what ever you do!! You are still able to access the old site while the I’m doing the update and get any old info off there.

www.coriobaycameracub.org.au/oldsite

If you see anything on the site that needs changine please fill out the form on the contact us page telling me what is wrong and ill get it fixed up as soon as I can. At this stage im trying to put all the content over from the old site to the new one. And Im also just getting an idea about how I will manage the gallerys etc. This is one of the more important parts of our site and I want to get it right.

Further to this I want to make use of the site to share news, ideas, results, events. This will mean that I would love anyone to let me know if they have something they would like to share with club members via the site.

  • News: Any news that will be happening around the club. Are there any rule updates. Is the competition secretary need to get out any info or bring attention to a rule that people are not following etc. The thought is that this will replace the newsletter and some.
  • Ideas: Did you find a really great tutorial on the web and wanted to share this with the rest of the club. Do you have a technique yourself that you use and want to share. Did you find a really great free application on the web for handling your digital photos. Please let me know about any of this and I would be more than happy to put this on the site.
  • Results: I want to be able to share the winnining images from each comp. If you did not attend you can find out via the web site.
  • Events: Any events be it comps inter-clubs, BBQ’s , photo meets etc… will be up on the site. If you see something missing or any detail are incorrect please let me know.

In essence I want to make this a real resource that extends beyond the fortnightly meetings. I also would love lots of people to contribute, be it a link to a good resource or an in depth tutorial on photography.
