Succes at Interclub with Colac CC
Colac Camera Club hosted Corio Bay Camera Club on Saturday 14th August for our annual Interclub competition. Images were judged by Duane Eaks from Ivanhoe Photographic Society.
Individual awards were presented in four sections; Small Prints – Open, Large Prints – Open, Projected Images – Open and Projected Images – Set Subject (Action). Perpetual trophies were awarded for overall club aggregate points in Prints and Projected Images.
It was a very successful evening for Corio Bay with our members taking three of the four individual awards as well as the two aggregate awards. VIGEX – International Photography Competition
Two news items in one day, what a day. There was a post about competitions today already but VIGEX is so great that I decided that it deserved its own post!
Those that saw Vigex two years ago will know the quality of the entries. It’s a bi-annual competition. So get out your best work and find the correct section and enter. You could find yourself with more glory than one photographer can handle. There are a number of sections and finding the correct one can mean the all the difference. Sections such as photo journalism, black and white and even a creative section where Photoshop rules. The competition is prints only (no digital images) so get down to the printers.
The exhibition has received FIAP Patronage 2010/003, APS Patronage 2010/02 PSA Recognition for Monochrome; Colour; Nature; Photojournalism; Creative.
So check out the website for more details. Also please spread the word to all your photography friends.
