Digital Monochrome by Peter Marin

2009 VAPS Interclub Success

The 2009 VAPS (Victorian Association of Photographic Societies) Interclub Competition has been run and judged, with us as a club having a very successful event.  We finished overall in Fourth place. Congratulations to all those members that submitted their work for selection for this competition, your effort has helped immensely in the successes we achieved. Read more >>

CBCC Wins Interclub with Ballarat YMCA

Saturday 21st March. CBCC defeated Ballarat YMCA Camera Group by the smallest possible margin in our annual inter club  competition. The overall point scores were CBCC 422 to Ballarat 421.

Despite Ballarat winning four out of the five sections, CBCC won the last section by enough to take out the overall prize.

Small prints “Off Beat”: Ballarat 52 - CBCC 50
Large prints open: Ballarat 110 - CBCC 109
Projected images “Worn by the Weather”: Ballarat 53 - CBCC 53
Projected images open: Ballarat 104 - CBCC 109

Ballarat members also took out the best image prizes in four of the five sections, with Wayne Harris winning the Projected images “worn by the weather” section with “Weathered by Nature”.

Best of the 2008 Head On

The Best of the 2008 Head On competition will be shown at 12.30 p.m., prior to the VAPS Half Yearly General Meeting at the Melbourne Camera Club on 5th April 2009.

“Head On” is an annual national photographic portrait competition and exhibition representing a diverse cross-section of new and traditional photographic practices.

Ballarat YMCA Interclub 21/3/09

The Ballarat YMCA Camera Group /CBCC interclub is on this Saturday. Ballarat YMCA is the host.

We will be meeting for dinner at the Atlantic Hotel: 628 Skipton Street (Midland Highway), Redan (on the corner of Bell Street) at 6.00 pm. We will then move to KOHINOOR Community Centre, Cnr Errard & Sebastopol Sts Ballarat, for the judging and presentations, commencing at around 7.30 pm. See you there

2011 Three Way Long Distance Interclub

The 2011 Three-Way Long Distance Interclub was a successful event for CBCC winning the competition with an aggregate of 813 pts. followed by Kaiapoi Photographic Club N.Z.  on 767 pts and Gem Camera Club from Perth W.A. with 735 pts. Individual Awards went to: Kaiapoa P.C. Judge's Best [more]

The annual CBCC/Geelong Interclub was held at the Geelong CC rooms on Wednesday 19th October, with Geelong winning both the Print and Projected Image sections.
