New Competition Entry Form

To make our Competition Secretary’s life a little easier, we are introducing a competition entry form that must be submitted with all prints and slides and any digital projected images that are not submitted via the website. This will begin with the June monthly competition. Entry forms can be downloaded for printing from the “Competitions” page.

Converting Canon CR2 RAW images

My Canon 40D saves files in a RAW CR2 image format. These can be partly edited in proprietary Canon software before opening as a TIF in Photoshop. However, the resulting TIF or PSD image cannot be resaved as a JPEG possibly due to Canon’s CR2 RAW vs. Adobe RAW format. One cumbesome solution is to drag a copy of the original PSD or TIF onto a newly opened Photoshop “blank” image – this can be saved as a JPEG. There has to be a better way …….?
