Web Site News
Links Section Grow
The web is an amazing and growing resource for information, how to’s and tutorials on almost any subject, including all things photography. Sometimes it simply provides inspiration from other photographers’ work from sites such as Flickr and Redbubble.
We would love to grow our website into a fantastic resource directory. The best places on the net for tutorials, how to’s, fantastic work, etc. Making the links section of the site a real asset.
To do this we need you to send in the articles and links that you discover on the net. You can do this via the Contact Us page. You could even write up a quick blurb about the link and this could be posted on the site News section, letting people know there is a great new resource that you have found.
I have added a really good one on HDR to get us started
Web Site Software Update
I have recently done an upgrade to the software that manages the web site. In this I discovered a few quirks as a result and fixed them up. If you notice anything strange in the formatting or function of the site please drop us a line via the contact page
On Line Submission of Projected Images is Live
You can now submit your digital projected images for competitions (including the Image of the Year and Annual Landscape comps) and inter-club pre-selections via the club website.
To do this go to the “Competitions” page. About halfway down this page you will see the “Submit Digital Projected Images” link. Clicking on this will bring up a form which needs to be completed.
The form is reasonably self explanatory, but you should note the following:
All fields must be completed (except the “set subject” check box which should only be checked if the image is for a set subject competition)
Use the Browse button to select the file you want to submit from your computer hard drive.
Use the drop down box to select the type of competition you are submitting images for (ie Monthly Comp, Inter-club preselection, Image of the Year, Annual Landscape). It is important that you do this correctly, so that the images are sent to the right competition secretary.
Remember that the maximum image dimensions are 1024 pixels wide and 768 pixels high and that files must be no larger than 250 kb. There is a link to a tutorial on how to do this above the form.
More information on file naming can be found on the Competition Rules page.
